A woman died after falling over the balcony of her room while aboard a Carnival Cruise Line Ship off the California coast on Monday morning, according to NBCLA.The NBC station reported the Carnival Firenze was near Catalina Island when the woman fell and landed on a deck. It was not clear what caused the woman to fall. NBCLA cited a statement from Carnival that said law enforcement would board the ship on Catalina Island to investigate. The statement added that the cruise line was supporting the guest’s family. KCRA 3 reached out to Carnival but has not yet heard back. The LA County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred in international waters and the FBI was investigating.
