CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Clovis Police arrested 27 suspects during the Clovis Rodeo for alcohol-related violations.
During the five-day event, officers and the state’s Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) enforced alcohol related violations.
The enforcement included a Trap Door operation in which law enforcement works with bars and clubs to detect the use of fake IDs being used by minors.
Police report that five of the arrested were for fake IDs and other violations consisted of public intoxication, minors in possession of alcohol, furnishing alcohol to a minor, and one arrest for DUI.
The penalty for using a fake ID is a $250 fine and 32 hours of community service, and a one-year suspension of their driver’s license.
