Disneyland will close four attractions for seasonal refurbishments during the relatively slow period between the end of spring break and the start of summer at the Anaheim theme parks.

Pirates of the Caribbean, Sailing Ship Columbia, Pixie Hollow and “Fantasmic” will temporarily close in May as part of the standard refurbishment schedule at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

The four new attraction closures join the Disneyland Monorail, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, Silly Symphony Swings, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes and Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island that were already shuttered for refurbishment.

Pirates of the Caribbean will close May 4 for seasonal refurbishment and remain closed through at least early June.

The “Fantasmic” nighttime spectacular on Disneyland’s Rivers of America will be dark May 4-7, May 11-14 and May 18-21. Daily showtimes start May 22 and are expected to continue throughout the summer.

Pixie Hollow in Fantasyland will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays in May (May 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26 and 28). The Disneyland character meet-and-greet area recently completed a 10-month refurbishment.

The Sailing Ship Columbia that travels along the Rivers of America will return on Saturday, May 2 after being closed for five days due to seasonal scheduling.

The Disneyland Monorail and Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin that both closed in late March for seasonal maintenance will both reopen on Friday, May 1.

Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes will return on May 1 after being closed for four days due to seasonal scheduling.

Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island will reopen on May 8 after an 11-day closure for seasonal refurbishment.

The Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind balloon ride in DCA’s Pixar Pier that closed in January for seasonal refurbishment will remain shuttered through at least early June.

The Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters dark ride in Tomorrowland at Disneyland and Silly Symphony Swings wave swing in DCA’s Paradise Gardens that both closed in April for seasonal refurbishment will remain out of commission through at least early June.
