BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — CHP Bakersfield said 520 citations were issued and 14 people were arrested for allegedly driving under the influence during the statewide 24-hour Maximum Enforcement Period from April 28 through April 29.

Officials said 350 drivers were cited for speeding under 100 miles per hour, while five drivers were cited for driving over 100 miles per hour.

CHP Bakersfield reminds drivers to slow down and to give themselves time to react.
