ORGANIZERS SAY THE FUNDS RAISED AT THE EVENT STAY LOCAL. SHRINERS SHOULDERS, NORTHERN CALIFORNIA PROVIDES ALL THE SERVICES THAT SHRINERS CHILDREN’S OFFERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND AROUND THE WORLD. Top pickleball players from around the world are rallying in Roseville this weekend to help children in need of specialized medical care.The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) is serving up a four-day tournament for a fifth year in a row at Johnson Ranch Sports/Pickleball Club that will benefit Shriners Children’s Hospitals.The APP Sacramento Open is world-class pickleball event hosting pickleball pros and hundreds of amateurs of all ages and skill levels. Organizers say the funds raised at the event stay local.”Shriners Children’s Northern California provides all the services that Shriners Children’s offers across the country and around the world,” explained Alan Anderson of Shriners Children’s Northern California.Children in need of care for orthopedics or cleft lip cases, acute burns, and traumatic brain or spinal cord injuries can receive treatment through Shriners Children’s Hospitals, according to Anderson.So as hundreds of pickleball games are played during the event’s run, players will unite over their love of the sport.
