OAKLAND — A 38-year-old bicyclist has died from injuries he suffered Monday when he was struck by an SUV that kept going, authorities said.
The vehicle, a Land Rover, has been recovered but no arrests have been made, police said Friday.
The coroner’s bureau identified the bicyclist as Bartholomew F. Drawsand, of Oakland, who died Wednesday from his injuries.
He was gravely injured about 7:24 p.m. Monday in the area of 23rd Avenue and East 22nd Street. Police said he had just made a turn onto 23rd Avenue from East 22nd Street when he was struck by a black Land Rover SUV that did not stop.
Police said the vehicle was recovered a few days later in Oakland.
No suspect information has been released. Police have not said if drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision.
