But even before starting his top-earner run, Curry was living a decidedly cushy life. Case in point: He purchased this sprawling Alamo estate at 115 Stephanie Lane in 2016, which can now be yours for a cool $10.5 million.
Picked up by Curry for $5.8 million a decade ago, the East Bay property sits on a private lane behind a gated fence. The main house features five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and three half baths, spread across 9,585 square feet of living space. But it’s the grounds that really set the estate apart from many other grand mansions.
More than 50 redwoods and 30 Italian cypress trees frame the property, alongside olive trees imported from Italy, cherry trees, apple trees and rose bushes showcasing various hues. Sprinkled throughout the sylvan landscape are fountains and ample seating, including shaded lounge areas and firepit seating for up to 10 guests.
For outdoor fun, there’s a putting green, a large pool, an infinity-edge spa and a large playhouse for kids. An entertainment pavilion offers a fireplace, heaters and fans, as well as a built-in grill. A 925-square-foot pool house adds a bedroom, two full bathrooms, a kitchen, a sauna for eight and a laundry room.
Curry called this East Bay retreat home when the Warriors were playing in Oakland, but when the team made its move across the bay to San Francisco’s Chase Center, he followed suit. At one point, he joked about helicoptering into games the way Kobe used to from his Orange County home to Staples Center.
Nevertheless, he sold the Alamo estate in January 2019 for $6.3 million, having set his eyes on a Peninsula palace. Curry’s next home purchase was an off-market mansion in Atherton that he scooped up for $31 million.
The Alamo property changed hands again in August 2022 for $8.3 million — a $2 million jump — before landing on the market at its current asking price of $10.5 million.
Sitting on more than 1.5 acres, with a six-car garage and a powerhouse home office topped with a coffered ceiling, the estate blends livability with flair befitting an NBA legend.
