BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Fire crews in Kern County are working to contain a wildfire burning in east Bakersfield, known as the “Tower Fire.”

The fire started Sunday near Edison Highway and Comanche Drive and has grown to approximately 2,219 acres, according to fire officials. As of now, the fire remains 0% contained.
