Sunday, the Meadowview Certified Farmers Market celebrated its grand reopening. Locals showed up in crowds for the return of fresh produce, prepared foods and locally made goods to the seasonal market. “This is a very, kind of like a big family. They’re very nurturing; they understand what the local community needs,” said Yuri Kotseruba, a vendor at the market. “At first you think it’s just a small little thing, but then as time passes it’s amazing.” The market celebrated its return with free face painting, along with live music and dance performances. Organizers also say they are looking for more vendors. The market will be open every Sunday from 9a.m. until 1p.m. through October 25.
