SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Rain and cooler, breezier weather are heading for San Diego County to start the week.
Scattered showers are forecasted to fall overnight into Monday and on Tuesday across San Diego County, with areas around Oceanside, Escondido, Julian and Alpine expected to get up to a half inch of rainfall through Tuesday afternoon.
Chance for light showers from the coast to the mountains. Showers will be scattered in nature; some areas could receive near half an inch, while others could get none (National Weather Service).
Cooler temperatures can also be expected with this possible storm.
Coastal cities can expect to stay in the mid-60s, while the mountains and deserts will be 10 to 20 degrees below normal.

Windy conditions picked up on Sunday. The National Weather Service issued a Wind Advisory for several areas, including Imperial County, with 25 to 35 mph winds expected and gusts up to 50 mph. That advisory will remain in place until 3 a.m. Monday.
Winds in the mountains and deserts are expected to remain gusty on Monday, with peak gusts of 35 to 45 mph forecast through mountain passes and desert slopes, and 60 mph gusts possible in the San Gorgonio Pass.

The rain is expected to clear by Wednesday, but an area of low-pressure could cause some light rain to come back on Thursday.
