One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on the Harbor (110) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles, the California Highway Patrol reported Monday.

The collision occurred at 11:53 p.m. Sunday on the southbound freeway and Exposition Boulevard where CHP officers found the victim and the damaged vehicles in the middle lanes of the freeway, CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig told City News Service.

The victim was taken to a hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel, where they were pronounced dead.

The collision closed the freeway at Exposition for approximately two hours
