A man was arrested in connection with an assault at a home in San Francisco Wednesday, according to police.
Police said they responded to a home on the 500 block of 5th Street for a report of an aggravated assault at approximately 6:10 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from injuries and rendered aid, according to officials. Authorities add paramedics also arrived to the scene to render aid and transport the victim to a local hospital for his non-life-threatening injuries.
While on scene, police said officers detained a man in the area matching the description provided to them by dispatch. Officers then developed probable cause to place the subject under arrest, according to authorities.
The police department said Wednesday night the identity of the suspect and charges were still pending. San Francisco police adds this is an ongoing investigation, and asks anyone with information to contact them at 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.
