Sacramento police attempting to call suspect out from residence following pursuit

(FOX40.COM) — Sacramento Police Department officers are attempting to call a suspect out of a home Monday after leading officers on a pursuit.

SWAT and crisis negotiators are at a home in the 200 block of Seavey Circle, attempting to bring the incident to a peaceful resolution, the department said in an update. The suspect is refusing to exit the home.

The suspect is believed to be the only person in the residence, police said.

The department said its officers were on a pre-planned operation around 11:30 a.m. in the area of 5th Street and Seavey Circle. Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the suspect led officers on a pursuit.
