BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A 16-year-old boy is dead after a shooting in south Bakersfield over the weekend, with several other minors wounded.

According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a shooting at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday on East Pacheco Road near Garber Way.

Deputies arrived and saw two minor victims with gunshot wounds, sheriff’s officials said.

Alex Julian Calderon, 16, of Lamont, was one of the victims and was transported to Kern Medical. He was pronounced dead over an hour after the shooting, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.

Officials identified two more underage victims.

No arrests have been made, KCSO said.
