BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Cycling enthusiasts in Bakersfield are being encouraged to get out and ride this month as part of National Bike Month, with Bike Bakersfield hosting several public events.
One of those events is happening tonight, with riders meeting at Beach Park ahead of a scenic “full moon” ride to Ethel’s Old Corral Cafe. The group is scheduled to take off at 6:30 p.m., and organizers said there is still time for people to join.

Bike to Work Day Commuter Stands – Friday, May 15, starting at 6:30 AM (Beach Park + Kern River Parkway Trail near CSUB)The Ride of Silence – Wednesday, May 20 at 6:30 PM (Café Smitten, downtown Bakersfield): the event is part of a nationwide effort to honor cyclists impacted by traffic crashes.Comment with Bubbles
