(FOX 5/KUSI) — Scattered and at times heavy rain left the San Diego area soaked from Monday night into Tuesday morning.
“We’re kind of at the tail end of it, but some mountain areas like Julian are still on the hook for some rainfall into this afternoon,” said KUSI weather anchor Megan Healy.
In the previous 48 hours, Julian had recorded the largest amount of rainfall at .53 inches, followed by Encinitas with .33, Fashion Valley with .23, Ramona with .21 and Santee with .18.
However, most of the rainfall from those totals had come from six hours on Tuesday morning, Healy said.

Weather radar showed the scattered showers moving eastward across all of San Diego County, with beach and valley areas starting to get a break by the 8 a.m. hour, and the rest of the county clearing up by late Tuesday evening.
“Into Thursday we start a warming trend, with the marine layer starting to develop Thursday evening and Friday morning,” Healy said.
San Diego temperatures will start rising starting on Tuesday and continuing into the weekend, going from the mid to high 60s into the mid 70s by Mother’s Day.
