BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Salvador Fabian, a former walk-on band coach at Del Oro High School, has pleaded no contest to charges of having sex with an underage student, according to Kern County court records.

Fabian, 27, entered the plea on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Five other counts were dismissed as part of a plea deal.
Fabian was arrested by Bakersfield Police last October after he allegedly had sex with a 15-year-old girl on campus.
Last month, a lawsuit was filed claiming school officials ignored warning signs, allowing the abuse to continue.
