A brigade of dozens of dirt bike and ATV riders drove from San Leandro through Berkeley to Oakland, including along Solano and Shattuck avenues, on Sunday before flooding the Bay Bridge and abandoning 77 of their vehicles as police moved in. Nine people were arrested. (SFGATE, LA Times)

Katherine Yelick, a vice chancellor at UC Berkeley, has been named the new director of Berkeley Lab. UC President James B.
