BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Hot Times are arriving, and Saturday’s temperatures could be quite similar to Friday’s.
Our newest ridge of high pressure will settle into the area quite comfortably during the tail-end of the weekend into early next week, and that is when the highest readings of the year are set to begin. Over the next several days, highs will range from the low 90s to 100, or beyond!
It’s really important to practice hot weather safety, especially with thermometers climbing to the highest points so far this season. Make sure you try to stay out of the heat, stay hydrated, dress comfortably, stay out of the direct sunlight, check on the very young and elderly, as well as pets and watch children around bodies of water.
The forecast looks even hotter for Sunday!
