A man was arrested in connection with an apparently unprovoked stabbing in Culver City on Sunday, police said.
The incident was reported near Sepulveda Boulevard and Slauson Avenue at around 5 p.m., according to the Culver City Police Department.
Based on a preliminary investigation, police say the man went up to a motorcyclist who was stopped at a red light and stabbed him before taking off on foot. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
Officers found and arrested the suspect, identified as 45-year-old Maurice Williams, nearby on Jefferson Boulevard. He was booked at the Culver City Jail on an attempted murder charge, according to police.
