Zach Rash co-founded Coco Robotics in 2020 when he was a student at UCLA. The company, one of the first delivery robotic platforms in the country, has deployed more than 1,000 robots across several states that deliver food and provisions to peoples’ doors. In early 2026, Coco Robotics announced it would deploy new robots that are more durable and can navigate poorly paved roads, and even snow. The robots are able to also be fully submersible in the case of flooding. While Los Angeles weather is comparatively mild, these new robots are built to help Coco expand into European and Asian markets, where weather conditions may hinder gig work delivery drivers.
