Man taken into custody after attempting to flee arrest in SW Bakersfield: CHP
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Officials said a man has been taken into custody after he briefly escaped from a patrol unit Monday morning.

The California Highway Patrol in Bakersfield said a subject fled from one of their patrol units at around 10:46 a.m. in the area of California Avenue and Real Road. That prompted a search in the surrounding area and neighborhoods.
Office Jorge Toro of the California Highway Patrol in Bakersfield said the man was taken back into custody and arrested for outstanding warrants and for fleeing from officers.
