Woman arrested in connection to series of San Jose arson fires

(KRON) — A woman was arrested Sunday night in connection to a series of arson fire, the San Jose Police Department announced Monday. Officers responded around 8:30 p.m. to assist the San Jose Fire Department regarding a reported arson fire along the Guadalupe River in south San Jose.

Fire crews quickly extinguished the blaze. Investigating officers learned that someone was seen in the area matching the description of someone seen near three other arson fires over the past few days.

Coordinating with San Jose Fire Department arson investigators, police identified and arrested the woman believed responsible for the arson spree. She was booked into county jail.
