Coroner ID’s man killed in crash in Delano
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified a man who was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the Delano area in early May.
The man was identified as Marcio Ramon Mejia Sanchez, 21, of Delano, according to coroner officials.
At around 7:50 a.m. May 6, CHP Bakersfield Area units responded to a reported solo-vehicle crash on Woollomes Avenue, west of Browning Road, according to officials.
A 21-year-old man from Delano, later identified as Sanchez, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on Woollomes Avenue, west of Browning Road, at an unknown speed.
For reasons still unknown, he let his vehicle veer off the roadway and crash into almond trees, CHP said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
