JSerra’s beach volleyball duo of Emma Champagne and Sara Moynihan finished second in the CIF Southern Section Individual Pairs Championships.
Champagne and Moynihan, seniors who have been among Southern California’s top high school pairs in recent seasons, lost to Redondo Union senior twins Addison and Avery Junk in the final last week, 2-0. The Junk sisters were CIF-SS champions last season.
This was the fourth season for CIF-SS championships in girls beach volleyball.
