Saint Agnes Care has opened a new outpatient rheumatology clinic offering treatment for complex joint, muscle, bone and immune system conditions, according to a news release.
Saint Agnes Care Rheumatology will focus on personalized care for rheumatological conditions, which can change over time. The clinic aims to address patients’ issues early to prevent them from worsening.
“Opening Saint Agnes Care Rheumatology is part of our ongoing commitment to expand access to specialty care for Valley patients right here at home,” said Sonya Pizzo, vice president of Saint Agnes Medical Foundation. “By keeping these critical services local, patients can get the treatment they need without delays to ensure the highest quality of life.”
Rheumatologist Shelley Kaur Dhillon will oversee the clinic. Dhillon completed her residency with Saint Agnes Graduate Medical Education before attending the University of California, Irvine.
“As a physician, I want my patients to feel truly heard and validated — whether that means confirming a diagnosis or simply acknowledging their symptoms are real and deserve attention,” Dhillon said. “I strive to evaluate and counsel each individual not just as a patient with a medical condition, but as a whole person with unique experiences and concerns.”
The clinic is accepting new patients at 1510 E. Herndon Ave., Suite 230. Appointments can be scheduled through Saint Agnes Medical Center’s website.
