Northern California’s early October storm is bringing significant rainfall totals to the Valley. As of Monday evening, the Foothills have not seen much rainfall, but that is expected to change overnight and into Tuesday. Here’s a list of some rain totals as of 9 p.m. Monday evening:Oroville .29″Yuba City .37″Clearlake .53″Fairfield .94″Stockton .45″Modesto .06″Auburn .08″Placerville .01″Pollock Pines .03″Sacramento .71″Sacramento passed the half-inch rainfall mark earlier Monday evening. That makes Monday the earliest that Executive Airport has reached that threshold during the water year since 2011. The first half inch of rain came on Oct. 10 that year.Rain is expected to wrap into the Foothills Monday night into Tuesday. Totals along Highway 49 will reach the quarter to half-inch range. Snow TotalsThe KCRA 3 weather team takes snow reports from ski resorts throughout the Sierra. Most resorts report snowfall early in the morning, so totals will be available Tuesday morning. Tuesday’s numbers will be quite low with the best moisture hitting the Valley on Monday. Higher amounts are expected Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night as this storm moves east and draws moisture up from the south.
