A Sacramento police officer was bitten by a West Sacramento officer’s K9 while both departments were searching for a suspect.Sacramento police said that just after 2:45 a.m. on Wednesday, officers saw a reckless driver near 24th Street and 68th Avenue. The occupants fled from the vehicle on foot near 25th Street and 51st Avenue and began jumping fences. West Sacramento police said that after a perimeter was established its officer and his K9 were searching for the suspect when a Sacramento police officer broke the perimeter and was bitten on the forearm. A Sacramento police officer was bitten by a West Sacramento officer’s K9 while both departments were searching for a suspect.

Sacramento police said that just after 2:45 a.m. on Wednesday, officers saw a reckless driver near 24th Street and 68th Avenue.

The occupants fled from the vehicle on foot near 25th Street and 51st Avenue and began jumping fences.

West Sacramento police said that after a perimeter was established its officer and his K9 were searching for the suspect when a Sacramento police officer broke the perimeter and was bitten on the forearm.

The suspect was booked on multiple charges related to evading and resisting arrest, West Sacramento police said.
