Graduation meal: P.F. Chang’s has launched a limited-time celebration menu during graduation season. The $89.99 family-style five-course meal features Mongolian beef, dumplings, spicy chicken, miso-glazed salmon and hand-folded dumplings. Guests can also choose an appetizer and a dessert. P.F. Mama’s Day 2026: Mama’s Kitchen will host its 35th fundraising event, featuring unlimited food tastings by 18 local restaurants, including Cucina Migrante, Maya’s Cookies, The Pastrami Stand and Piatti. Proceeds benefit the nonprofit’s mission to prepare and deliver more than 31,000 meals to critically ill San Diegans each year. 6:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday. San Diego Cheese & Libation Expo: The event space, Brick at Liberty Station, is hosting the San Diego Cheese & Libation Expo. The event allows the public to sample various cheeses from Wisconsin. Some of the cheesemakers that are scheduled to be at the show include Sartori, Hoard’s Dairyman Farm Creamery and Carr Valley. There will also be libation vendors giving out tastings from companies such as Little Bird Brewing, Templeton American Whiskey, Real del Valle Tequila and The Vinho. San Diego Crawfish Boil: Waterfront Park will be the home of the 37th annual San Diego Crawfish Boil. The event features more than 20,000 pounds of live Louisiana crawfish that will be cooked on-site. The event also features live music, mini Mardi Gras-style parades and cornhole games. The event is organized by Louisiana State University’s San Diego alumni chapter and a portion of the proceeds will go towards scholarships for San Diego students attending LSU. 10 a.m. to 5 pm. AANHPI Eats Week: MSG Hospitality is organizing the second annual AANHPI Eats Week. The event is an invitation for the public to visit Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander restaurants in San Diego County. Eateries and chefs will be releasing speciality dishes and prix-fixe meals. Some of the participating restaurants include The Asian Bistro, Kalei’s Kitchenette, Marufuku Ramen and Nozomi. The Smoking Gun: The Gaslamp Quarter eatery and arcade, The Smoking Gun, has released an updated weekend brunch menu. New food options include breakfast bowls and breakfast burritos with scrambled eggs and hasbrowns and protein choices such as smoked brisket, skirt steak, buffalo chicken, carnitas and pork sausage. Salt & Straw: Ice cream shop Salt & Straw has introduced new floral-inspired flavors for May. The five new flavors are cold brew coffee sherbet with chamomile, jasmine tea with dark chocolate almond, strawberry ice cream swirled with tres leches cake and strawberry jam, saffron-infused milk sherbet sweetened with wildflower honey and a rhubarb crumble with vanilla ice cream. The limited-time flavors were created by Salt & Staw co-founder Tyler Malek. Salt & Straw can be found in Little Italy, the One Paseo shopping center and University Town Center.
