First responders were called out Thursday afternoon after a woman attempting a border crossing got stuck on concertina wire at the U.S.-Mexico border.

The woman was stuck between border walls near the intersection of Britannia Court and Britannia Boulevard.

San Diego’s Urban Search and Rescue team has been dispatched from its downtown headquarters to help create a pulley system to safely extricate the woman, an official from San Diego Fire Rescue told NBC 7.

As NBC 7’s crew arrived at about 4:30, a hook-and-ladder truck and second SDFD vehicle seen departing. We have asked for an update on the woman’s status and are still waiting for that.
