BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A speed radar is being added near the intersection of Harris Road and Summer Springs Drive following last month’s deadly crash and years of concerns from neighbors about speeding and repeated collisions along Harris Road.

An Eyewitness News photographer spoke with a worker who confirmed the speed radar is now being added near the intersection.

Bakersfield police said the April crash happened when a driver traveling at a high rate of speed rear-ended an SUV that was stopped at a stop sign.
