Celebrating the history of the Kern County Fair

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Fair has been a beloved tradition in the Kern County community for more than 100 years.

Beginning in 1916, the fair has transformed over the years but still honored the traditions that helped make it what it is today.

Kern County Fair Marketing Specialist Chelsey Roberts joined ARC Bakersfield to take a look back at the history of the fair and share what the future may hold.
