FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live is at the Fresno Fairgrounds for the first time. Also, this is the first time these trucks will perform on an outdoor stage, as they typically take place in arenas. There are four shows from May 15-17.
The show features fan-favorite trucks that are also available in toy form, including Mega Wrex, Tiger Shark, Bone Shaker, Bigfoot, 5 Alarm, and the all-new Rhinomite. Also, attendees will be able to check out their freestyle motocross team and a transforming robot.
Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live takes over Fresno
With Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live in Fresno, Manny Gomez had the opportunity to get to know a couple of the drivers: Joe Cypher, the driver of 5 Alarm, and Caleb Janezich, the driver of Bigfoot.
In our conversations, Cypher shared with us his inspirational story as he has been driving monster trucks for over 30 years, and all from a wheelchair using hand controls. Cypher also shares his thoughts on how much he enjoys that the truck he drives is also one that kids can play with at home. Janezich talked to us about what it means to him and his family to drive one of the first famous monster trucks, Bigfoot. Both are great conversations that you can check out in the video above.
