The San Francisco Police Department and the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office arrested 62 people during a one-day operation targeting fugitives and narcotics activity in San Francisco’s Tenderloin, Mission and Southern districts.
The operation, which happened on Wednesday, was coordinated through the Drug Market Agency Coordination Center, an ongoing city effort aimed at disrupting illegal drug sales and open-air drug markets, police said.
Authorities said 52 of those arrested had outstanding warrants, including nine arrests made by the Police Department’s Fugitive Recovery Enforcement Team, according to the SFPD.
Police officers also seized about 338.5 grams of narcotics during the operation, police said.
The investigations remain active. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD at 1-415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.
