Rancho Santa Fe residents Heather Manion and Cami Rosso were among the 11 Women of Dedication honorees celebrated at the 60th Anniversary Women of Dedication luncheon held May 15 at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina hotel. The theme, “Gems of Generosity,” was inspired by the event’s Diamond Jubilee anniversary. The honorees were chosen for their dedication to the community through philanthropy and service, according to a news release.
In addition, Rancho Santa Fe residents Susan and Bill Hoehn received the Peggy Matthews Legacy Award at the event for their decades of service and dedication to the mission of The Salvation Army and many other organizations, the news release stated. The event’s 2026 Honorary Chairs are Sandra and Dr. Jeffry Schafer, also recognized for their commitment to The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary.
The 11 women honored at the event are: Eunice Bragais, Raye Clendening, Cherie Enge, Phyllis Epstein, Nancy Maldonado, Heather Manion, Lisé Markham, Marla Marshall, Laurie McGrath, Cami Rosso, Beatriz Valencia.
The luncheon and presentation of the honorees was followed with musical performances by Mackenzie Cartmill, Bryan Verhoye, and the San Diego Master Chorale.
Proceeds from the May 15 event will fund local Salvation Army programs that serve families and individuals experiencing homelessness, those suffering from chemical addiction, food pantries at the auxiliary’s Community Corps Centers and senior nutrition sites across the county.
