BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Cal State Bakersfield and Kern County leaders unveiled a new “Rowdy the Roadrunner” statue Monday inside Meadow Field Airport’s main terminal.
Rowdy is flexing and showing off some Runner pride. The University wants visitors to know that CSUB is Kern County’s university.
School officials said Rowdy is there to greet people as they arrive in Bakersfield and send them off with a little spirit from runner nation before they fly out.
