Mexican singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas kicks off her Norteña Tour 2026 this week in Tijuana. She is scheduled to perform new songs from her 12th studio album and some of her classic anthems. She has collaborated with artists such as Bad Bunny, Miguel Bosé and Los Ángeles Azules. Sound Lounge Open Jam: Pamilya Sessions is hosting its Sound Lounge Open Jam. The free show involves a house band and local singers and musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments or grab a mic and sing their original songs or covers. The house band includes Fabian on drums, Gabe Lariza on bass, Saxy Cat on saxophone, Some Guy Bran on guitar and Tia Mae on keys. Kesha: American pop star and songwriter Kesha is starting The Freedom Tour in Chula Vista. The tour is promoting her sixth studio album, “Period,” which was released in 2025. Kesha broke out into the mainstream in 2010 with her debut album “Animal” which had the singles “Tik Tok,” “Blah Blah Blah” and “Your Love Is My Drug.” Over the years, Kesha has teamed up on songs with Pitbull and Flo Rida and has written songs for Miley Cyrus and country music singer Walker Hayes’ song “Fancy Like.” Chromeo and Sizzy Rocket are scheduled to open the show. 7 p.m. Saturday. The Paper Kites: Australian band The Paper Kites is bringing indie rock sounds to San Diego. The band released its seventh album, “If You Go There, I Hope You Find It,” in January. Collie Buddz: The Spark Up Tour featuring reggae artist Collie Buddz is making a stop in Del Mar. Buddz broke into the music scene with a feature on Shaggy’s single “Mad Mad World” in 2007.
