BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — People across the nation are honoring fallen service members this Memorial Day.
While we remember those who have passed, it is crucial to offer support to the veterans in our community.
Many veterans struggle with mental health issues, homelessness, or financial problems that they feel they have to deal with on their own.
The Kern County Veterans Chamber of Commerce is stepping up to make sure every veteran has the support they deserve.
President and CEO of KCVCC Edward S. Robinson joined ARC Bakersfield to share details about the “We Got Your Six” Veterans Town Hall.
The event is happening on Thursday, May 21, at the Historic Woolworth’s Building in Downtown Bakersfield.
Veterans will be able to access resources, hear from others who have served and participate in a discussion about the issues facing their community.
