DATEBOOK PICK
Weeks after telling a San Francisco crowd she planned to move to the city, Kesha is heading back to the Bay Area for another performance.
The “TiKToK” singer, who performed a pop-up DJ set at the Presidio earlier this month, is scheduled to headline a concert at the Toyota Pavilion at Concord on Wednesday, May 27, as part of her recently-launched Freedom Tour.
The local appearances come during a fresh chapter for Kesha, who has reemerged as an independent artist after resolving a long-running legal dispute with producer Dr. Luke in 2023. Through her own label, Kesha Records, the singer has leaned back into the maximalist pop sound that made her a star while embracing a freer, more experimental style.
Her latest album, “Period,” released in July 2025, blends glossy hyperpop production with the playful chaos and irreverent energy that defined the early hits that launched her career in the early 2010s.
