A ribbon cutting was held today for the Bakersfield Commons Logistics Center, a warehouse development near Coffee Road and Rosedale Highway.

Real estate broker Barry Hibbard said the facility will serve as a logistics hub, helping companies deliver goods more quickly across Kern County.
He said the project is also expected to generate new city revenue and bring jobs to the region.
