FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A record number of students across the State Center Community College District’s colleges are set to walk in commencement ceremonies on Thursday and Friday at the Save Mart Center in Fresno.
Fresno City College began holding its graduation ceremonies at the Save Mart Center two years ago, and this year, the other three colleges moved their commencements there as well.
Reedley College will hold its very first commencement ceremony outside of the City of Reedley for the first time in campus history.
The primary reason for the relocation is that campus venues are not large enough to accommodate the growing number of graduates.
The Save Mart Center offers more space, access, and a climate-controlled setting.
