BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The temperatures are heating up this week and multiple spray parks and pools are opening just in time.

The following spray parks will be open from May 23 to Sep. 7:

Beale Park located at 5000 Oleander Ave.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park located at 1000 South Owens St.

Greystone Park located at 5709 Mountain Vista Dr.

Jastro Park located at 2900 Truxtun Ave.

Jefferson Park located at 801 Bernard St.

Mesa Marin Sports Complex located at 10315 CA-178

Planz Park located at 1601 Planz Rd.

Saunders Park located at 3300 Palm St.

Siemon Park located at 3300 Redlands Dr.

Wayside Park located at 1200 Ming Ave.

Note that these spray parks will be closed on Mondays excluding holidays.

The following is a list of pools that will be open around town:

McMurtrey Aquatic Center will be open from June 4 to Aug. 9 Monday through Thursday from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The cost is $4 per person and $13 for a group of four. Kids 2 and under can enter for free.

Silver Creek Park’s pool is at 7011 Harris Rd. and will be open from June 4 to Aug. 7. The pool is open Tuesday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The cost is $1 per person and free for kids 2 and under.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park is at 1000 South Owens St and will be open from June 4 to Aug. 7. The pool is open Tuesday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The cost is $41 per person and free for kids 2 and under.

All pools will be closed July 4.

McMurtrey Aquatic Center is offering a discount to guests July 1 as a part of Discount Day. The cost will be $3 per person.

Jefferson Park, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Silver Creek Park pools will be free to attend July 1.

McMurtrey Aquatic Center is also set to host Family Fun Nights July 10 and July 31 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets will be $5 per person and there will be games and prizes.

To wrap summer up, there will be an sensory-friendly autism family swim day at McMurtrey Aquatic Center Aug. 9. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Registration is required for this event. To register, click here.
