BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — An evacuation warning following a wildfire to residents west of Rosamond has been lifted.

The evacuation warning was initially for the Genasys Protect Zone KRN-152, said Ready Kern.

The “Alta Fire” in Los Angeles County has prompted the warning for residents north of 205th Street West, south of 203rd Street, east of 300th Street West and west of 105th Street West.

Approximately 335 acres have burned, according to Cal Fire. It started just after 1 p.m. on Friday, May 21.

Residents should be prepared to leave, as the situation can change very quickly, visibility in the area can be reduced, and roads could become blocked.
