The man accused of firing shots at two officers, wounding one, on Saturday before shooting himself a day later has died, according to the Fresno Police Department.
Police in an update said 56-year-old Paul Rodriguez Cisneros of Fresno died from the injury Thursday.
Police said Cisneros had been in custody and in the hospital since May 17 after he was found to have a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head.

The gun that he used to shoot himself was recovered when he was arrested and taken to Community Regional Medical Center.
Cisneros was suspected of shooting at two police officers after they responded to a domestic violence call near Jensen Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, where a woman reported that her husband was going to shoot her.
The officer was shot in the shoulder and arm and taken to a hospital. He has since been released.
Police later learned Cisneros took off in a patrol vehicle and went to the area of Bardell Avenue, just south of Vine Avenue. The standoff ended just before 5 p.m. Sunday.
