Four Colombian nationals were arrested for their alleged roles in an organized residential burglary crew that targeted homes across Southern California.
The suspects, all South American citizens, were identified by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department as:
Akssel Cadena-Diaz, 29, of Colombia
Jesus Velez-Hernandez, 35, of Colombia
Sergio Paez-Cuervo, 38, of Colombia
Javier Pulido-Ramirez, 41, of Colombia
The investigation began on April 22 following a residential burglary in the San Antonio Heights area of Upland.
The crew had reportedly used a variety of technology to carry out the burglaries including WiFi and signal jamming devices, camouflaged wireless cameras, fake license plates and other tools designed to disable residential security systems and monitor homes.

Following an extensive investigation, detectives were able to identify and arrest the four suspects involved.
Search warrants served at locations in Los Angeles County led to the recovery of stolen property, burglary tools, electronic jamming devices and surveillance equipment believed to be connected to additional residential burglaries throughout Southern California.
“Investigators are releasing information about the methods and equipment used by these crews to help educate residents, identify additional victims, and assist law enforcement agencies investigating similar crimes,” the sheriff’s department said.
Three suspects remain in custody in Ventura County and a fourth suspect was booked at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
