BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A 43-year-old Bakersfield man accused of possessing more than 70 terabytes of child pornography was sentenced to two years’ probation on Friday and will serve 90 days in Kern County Jail.
Hung Chun Fong of Bakersfield was arrested and charged last July with possession of child pornography, possession of child pornography containing more than 600 images, and distribution of child pornography.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said that on July 17, 2025, investigators with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit, assigned to the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations Bakersfield Office, and the United States Secret Service executed a search warrant in the 10100 block of Dutch Iris Drive related to the distribution of child pornography.

Investigators seized 13 electronic devices with more than 70 terabytes of storage that contained thousands of files containing child pornography, officials said.
Fong pleaded no contest on April 24, 2026, court records show. He is required to register as a sex offender for 20 years and must petition after that period to terminate his status if he qualifies.
