INVESTIGATORS BELIEVE LEE KILLED THE 28 YEAR OLD IN 2024, THEN TOOK THEIR YOUNG CHILDREN, ATHENA AND MATEO, TO MEXICO, SPENDING NEARLY TWO YEARS ON THE RUN UNTIL HIS RECENT ARREST IN BAJA CALIFORNIA, MEXICO. Camron Lee’s arraignment pushed back, children are doing well with family members

Camron Lee, extradited from Mexico earlier this week, is facing charges in connection with the 2024 death of Angelica Bravo, a Sacramento mother, and was scheduled to be arraigned today, but will wait longer for the proceedings. Investigators believe Lee killed Bravo in July 2024 and fled to Mexico with their two young children, Athena and Mateo. After nearly two years on the run, Lee was arrested in Baja California and transported from San Diego to Sacramento two days ago. He is currently being held on felony charges. “It’s God’s gift, honestly, reuniting with them so unexpectedly,” Gil Bravo, brother of Angelica Bravo and uncle of the children, said about the reunion with Athena and Mateo after the international search. “I couldn’t thank God and my family enough for everything. We’ve all been through too much these past two years,” Gil Bravo said. “This is just God’s gift, honestly, especially after seeing the kids after these past two years.”Bravo’s family members were in court today, waiting to hear the charges against Lee. “It was very difficult, but I mean the fact that they finally got him, it’s a sigh of relief for us, honestly,” Bravo said. “It definitely feels good knowing that he’s behind bars now.”As Lee remains in custody, Bravo’s family shared that the children are adjusting well to their new circumstances. “Children are doing amazing. They’re still getting used to things again,” a family member said. “Obviously, they haven’t been here in a while. We’re just reliving life with them again and getting used to how they are again.” “It’s been amazing. I mean, we all miss them so much,” Bravo said. “We missed two years of their lives watching them grow, so now we’re just trying to really relive those memories of them and give them the best life, the best rest of their life.” Bravo’s family said they will be closely following the charges against Lee.
