The family that owns Caesars Entertainment will sell a nearly 60-acre property in California’s Sonoma wine country at auction next month with a reserve price of $1.75 million.
Located in Geyserville, California, about 23 miles north of Santa Rosa, the home is currently listed for $5.65 million with Stephanie Domenichelli of the Agency Healdsburg. It heads to auction Nov. 17 with Interluxe, a luxury auction company. Previews start Nov. 14.
The sellers, the late Don Carano and his wife, Rhonda Carano, purchased the site in 1981, Mansion Global reported in June 2024 when the property was first listed for nearly $8 million.

The Caranos launched a winery in the redwood barn on the property soon after acquiring the vineyard, which grew into the Ferrari-Carano Vineyard & Winery. However, the couple’s main gig was in hospitality, having opened the Eldorado Resort Casino in Reno in 1973, and expaned into other casinos, resorts and real estate developments.
The family acquired Caesars Entertainment, one of the largest casino companies in the world, in 2019, two years after Don Carano died. They’ve since sold most of their wine country assets.
“Frankly, I would have never put the property up for sale if [Don] was still alive,” Rhonda Carano told Mansion Global last year. “But now that I am alone, I wanted to spend more time in Reno with my family.”

The estate includes two lots, with the four-bedroom main house sitting on a 43.38-acre parcel. It also has a two-bedroom guest house, the 4,000-square-foot barn and a one-bedroom pool house with a guest room, gym and wine cellar.
Other amenities include a pool, a detached office or art studio and plenty of space for outdoor dining and lounging. There are also about 12 acres of Alexander Valley Chardonnay, 56 Italian olive trees, a fruit orchard and dozens of garden beds, according to the listing.
The smaller parcel is located on the upper portion of the property, the listing said. It has a site for a future home, plus another vineyard and space for livestock.
“The location is spectacular,” Domenichelli told Mansion Global last year. “There are gorgeous views of Alexander Valley and vineyards all around you, but you’re just one mile into Geyserville.” She was not immediately available for additional comment.
