Many high school track and field athletes will converge at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis for the Central Section Masters meet.
The one-day event serves as the prelude to the CIF state championships, which will also be held at the same venue.
State champion Conor Lott will not compete in Saturday’s Masters meet after suffering an injury during the season. As a result, he will not defend his 1,600-meter title at either the Masters meet or the state championships.
