BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Kern County is honoring those who served our country on Memorial Day with two events: the 12th Annual Thousand Flags event at the Park at River Walk and at the Historic Union Cemetery.
Thousand Flags:
The Park at River Walk was covered with flags to help recognize military members who lost their lives serving the United States.
Flags were sponsored in honor of current or former military members for a donation of $50 during the event.
